First View of Canyon Post
View from the top of the GrandView lookout tower! I climbed to the top but the trapdoor is locked, so it's not QUITE the top.
There's been a swarm of helicoptors heading east, maybe tours or maybe something more serious. I'm heading to Grand Canyon Village now and should get there this evening.

Paul, finally had a chance to check your blog again.
My LNT class went well. I had 13 adult scouters and 6 youth scouts. I got to meet Cindy Reilly too.
Went to BSA commissioner college this past Saturday.
I see you went by BSA Camp Geronimo too. I suspect you'll be able to feast and clean up at the south rim of the canyon. Not sure what the conditions are at the North Rim. The park is usually closed until mid may because of weather. Hope you don't have too many issues.

Paul, have cofirmed today that N. Rim Hwy. 67 is closed, probably until May 15.
